Operating with the belief that access to arts and diverse cultural activities is the essence of community development, THEARC Theater is the first theater in Washington, DC’s Ward 8.  It was created to provide DC residents living east of the Anacostia River entertaining and enlightening experiences that can impact their lives and brighten their futures.

Skyland Workforce Center is dedicated to providing job training and readiness programs to help individuals enhance their skills and employment opportunities. The center offers a variety of trainings and certifications, tailored to meet the evolving needs of the job market. Additionally, it plays a vital role in bridging the gap between job seekers and employers by organizing Hiring Fairs. These events are designed to facilitate direct connections between local employers and those seeking employment, thereby fostering job growth and economic development in the community.

Rental of the 365-seat venue includes the lobby area, theater, scenic shop, green room w/ dressing room , and two (2) large dressing rooms (2nd floor).

Features: Follow spot, Venue SC48 Digital Audio Console, CLEARCOMM Communication System, Orchestra Pit, Full Set Stage Blacks, ETC ION Digital Lighting Console, fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

THEARC Founders were inspired to create a venue space in S.E. DC to ensure the non-profit partners at THEARC always had a home venue to perform. THEARC Theater is the 2nd project of Building Bridges Across the River.
