Anacostia River Festival

The 11th Street Bridge Park and the National Park Service present the fifth annual Anacostia River Festival, a premier event and the official closing of the 2019 National Cherry Blossom Festival. For a taste of local D.C., come celebrate the Anacostia River and the 100th birthday of Anacostia Park. Take a canoe out to explore the River, ride in our bike parade, play lawn games with your family and experience Southeast D.C.’s local arts scene at this special FREE event.

Getting There

Address

Anacostia Park (Anacostia Drive & Good Hope Road SE)

 

Metro

Anacostia Station (green line). Exit toward the parking garage to walk to the Festival site (approx. 7 min). 
A FREE shuttle provided by DC Circulator will run from Anacostia Metro (at the Howard Rd exit) to the Festival site.

 

Bike Access

Free bike valet available! 
Capital Bikeshare stations on Good Hope Road SE – across from the Anacostia Arts Center and in Anacostia Park at the Anacostia Recreation Center.

 

Parking

Free parking at Anacostia Metro Station (1101 Howard Road SE) & Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion (1500 Anacostia Drive SE).  
If you park at the Anacostia Metro parking garage, please consider the short walk to the Festival site (approx. 7 min) OR a free shuttle provided by DC Circulator is available from the Anacostia Metro Station near the Howard Road exit. A shuttle will also run between the Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion and Anacostia Rec Center – getting you within a 5 minute walk to the Festival site.
